Register NOW for our Youth Summer Camp - "Ancient Arts for Modern Times"
WHEN: JUNE 5TH-30TH
WHAT: Your child will experience a range of diverse martial art immersion experiences over the course of the summer including but not limited to: Savate ('old shoe') a french form of 'foot boxing' that involves using the feet (i.e. toes of the shoe) for self defense; Kali ('hand body motion') a Filipino martial art method that incorporates tools like sticks, shoes, handkerchiefs, and empty hand and foot tactics for self defense; Hapkido ('way of coordinated power') a Koren martial art method involving kicks, hand strikes and throws from a variety of arts indigenous to China/Japan/Korea; Capoeira ('short grass area') an Afro-Brazilian martial art involving acrobatics, dance, music and self defense strikes and take downs for self defense. These forms of martial art/culture will be offered for a full week before changing to a different art for the upcoming week.
TIME: MONDAY - FRIDAY 8:30-2PM.
AGES: 5-16 (Activity groups ages 5-7, 8-10, 11-13, 14-16)
COST: $250 per camper/week; discounts for multiple weeks ($50 off per additional week, need not be consecutive); family discounts available. Lunch not provided - campers must bring a bag lunch/drink for themselves.
